Visor and protection markings

The transparent visor is 1 mm thick and has optical class 1 according to EN 166. The marking B indicates tested mechanical strength for a medium-energy impact at 120 m/s under standard conditions. It does not replace selecting suitable protection for the specific tool and task.

Adjust the headband and visor to your face

Adjust the headband to your head circumference and position the visor so that it sits in front of your face. Check that it is secure before starting work. Flip the visor up only when there is no longer any danger from flying particles or splashes.

Keep the view clear

Clean the visor with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Do not use solvents. Scratches, cracks or severe clouding can impair visibility and protection; replace damaged parts before the next use.

Can I flip the visor up while work is still in progress?

The flip-up function is intended for periods without a risk of splashes or particles. The visor must remain in front of your face while this risk exists. A tool that is still running down can continue to throw up particles.

What does the B marking mean?

B indicates mechanical strength in a standardised impact test at 120 m/s. It does not mean unlimited protection against parts of any weight or speed.

Is the flip-up visor dustproof?

No. An open face shield does not seal the eyes or respiratory tract. Where dust is present, select suitable eye and respiratory protection for the task as well.

How do I remove dirt from the visor?

Clean it with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, without rubbing dry dirt across the surface. Avoid solvents and check the visor for damage after cleaning.
