Description

These NEO Tools ear defenders combine ear cups with G-Tech foam and a padded, adjustable headband. The single-number rating is SNR 30 dB. Selection depends on the noise exposure at the workplace.

Sound attenuation values and frequency range

The SNR value is 30 dB. SNR is a single rating used to assess the sound attenuation provided by hearing protection. In addition, H = 32 dB, M = 28 dB and L = 19 dB are specified. Mean attenuation values and APV values are provided for several frequencies.

Material and adjustment

The ear cups are fitted with G-Tech foam. The padded headband is adjustable so that the ear cups can be adapted to different head sizes.

Use

Put the ear defenders on before entering the noisy area and wear them continuously there. The ear cups must completely enclose the ears. Whether the model is sufficient for a machine and task must be assessed using the noise exposure and attenuation values.

Frequently asked questions

What does SNR 30 dB mean?

SNR is a rating used when selecting hearing protection. It is not a promise that exactly 30 dB less sound will reach the ear in all conditions. Actual protection also depends on fit and noise exposure.

How is the headband adjusted?

The padded headband can be adjusted. The ear cups should then sit closely and comfortably.

How can I tell whether the seal is good?

The sealing cushions should sit evenly around the ears, without gaps or twisted padding. A comfortable, even fit supports the intended attenuation.

How are the ear cups and headband cleaned and inspected?

Before each use, check the cushions, cups and headband for cracks or wear. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning products. Damaged parts impair the seal; clean and replace them according to the instructions.

What do H, M and L mean?

H, M and L are additional attenuation values for high, medium and low frequencies. For this model, H = 32 dB, M = 28 dB and L = 19 dB are specified.
