Description

Högert Trient safety glasses are intended for work such as drilling, grinding, sawing, cutting and crushing where low-energy fragments may occur. Clear, profiled polycarbonate lenses with side covers extend the protection area. Adjustable nylon temples help with fitting; the glasses can be worn over prescription spectacles.

Protection and vision

The Trient complies with EN 166:2001 and is classified as optical class 1. This class describes optical quality for extended wear. Mechanical strength F is tested with a small steel ball at 45 m/s. The clear UV filter bears marking 2C-1,2 and permits good colour recognition.

Fit and handling

The adjustable nylon temples allow the fit to be adapted. Small openings at the temple ends are intended for a retaining cord. Before starting work, check that the overspecs sit securely with your prescription spectacles and that the side protection adequately covers the eyes.

Maintaining clear vision

The polycarbonate lens has a scratch-resistant surface. Rinse off dirt before wiping and use a soft cloth. Replace the safety glasses if they are heavily scratched, damaged or affected by a strong impact.

Frequently asked questions

Will the Trient fit over my prescription spectacles?

They can be used as overspecs. Compatibility depends on the shape and size of your frame. When trying them on, check secure fit, side coverage and sufficient distance between the lenses.

Does optical class 1 correct poor eyesight?

No. The class describes the optical quality of the protective lens. Any required vision correction must still be provided by your prescription spectacles.

Are these glasses sufficient for all grinding work?

Suitability depends on the particles produced and the specific task. F is a defined impact-resistance class; higher energy or additional facial hazards may require other protective equipment.

Can I weld with these UV safety glasses?

No. The clear UV filter is not a welding filter. Welding requires suitable eye and face protection.

How do I clean the protective lens?

Clean with water and a mild detergent, then use a soft cloth. Do not use solvents or rub dry dust across the lens.
