Choose by fastener before tool size
- Blind rivet: Compare the supported rivet type, its material and diameter, and the corresponding nosepiece.
- Blind rivet nut: Compare thread size, material and the setting components specified for the selected tool version.
- Combination tool: Assume both functions are available only if they are explicitly described and the required conversion components belong to the intended combination.
Example: fitting a screw later
If you need to create a thread in a component for a later screw connection, a tool that only sets blind rivets is not suitable. Check the documented blind rivet nut system, then the space needed for the tool head and operation. A suitable setting component alone does not solve insufficient working space.
GESIPA explains the relationship between fasteners and setting tools in its overviews of blind rivets and blind rivet nuts. These do not provide a blanket assurance of load capacity or component design for your connection. Find other fastening options under Screwdriving tools.
