Trousers, bib overalls or shorts

Trousers can be chosen independently of your top. Bib overalls add adjustable straps and a bib. Shorts provide different coverage; their suitability also depends on workplace requirements.

Choose pockets to suit their contents

Think about which items you actually carry in your trouser pockets. Check pocket positions for seated and kneeling work too. If knee pad inserts are intended, the trousers and inserts must be explicitly compatible.

  • Waist size and leg length
  • Pockets to suit your actual needs
  • Material and intended season

Use the size chart and check movement

First check whether the chart gives body measurements or garment measurements. Record your waistband or waist circumference and inside leg length using the measurement method described. The same size label may fit differently in another cut. Compare short or long sizes separately if the waist fits but the leg length does not.

Try the trousers with your usual shoes and clothing layers while sitting, walking and squatting. Look for pulling at the crotch, pocket position and trouser leg length. A larger size is not automatically the right solution to every restriction; cut and length options matter too. Finally, check the care instructions and whether they suit your planned laundry routine.
