Description

The Bradas bungee cords are intended for elastically securing light items and covers, for example when organising garden equipment or attaching a tarpaulin. The set contains two bungee cords with an 8 mm diameter. A latex core provides elasticity and the polypropylene braid forms the outer covering. The PVC covering on the metal hooks reduces direct metal contact. These bungee cords are not a substitute for suitable load-securing equipment on public roads.

Construction and hooks

The polypropylene braid protects the latex core from abrasion and weathering. Attach the PVC-covered metal hooks to firm, suitable anchor points. A UV-resistant cover does not prevent ageing completely: inspect the cord and hooks for damage before use.

Selecting the length

Available lengths are 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 cm. Stretchability of up to 100% describes extension to approximately twice the original length; it is not a load-capacity rating. Choose a length that tensions securely without requiring the maximum stretch.

Usage limits

Do not use bungee cords as the sole means of securing loads on public roads or for lifting loads. For transport loads, choose suitable, adequately rated tie-down equipment. When attaching or removing a cord under tension, keep away from the hooks' recoil zone and never pull it towards your face.
