Protection and sole

The aluminium toe cap meets the 200 J impact test. The non-metallic APT Plate Zero Perforation helps prevent sharp objects from penetrating through the sole. The PU/TPU outsole is marked SRC according to the EN ISO 20345:2011 version of the standard.

Upper material and interior

BREATEX has a three-dimensional fabric structure; MICROTECH complements the upper material. Inside, abrasion-resistant Sany-Dry lining made from 100% polyester absorbs and releases moisture. The anatomical Cofra Soft PU footbed is antistatic, perforated and shock-absorbing.

Fit and areas of use

Sizes 35 to 48 and width 11 Mondopoint provide a choice for different feet. The shoe suits dry working environments in warehouses, production, assembly and craft work. The leather reinforcement over the toe cap protects this high-wear part of the upper from abrasion.

Which workplaces is the Petri designed for?

The breathable S1 P design is particularly suitable for dry indoor areas. Whether it is sufficient for a specific workplace depends on the hazards there. Regular contact with water requires suitable water-resistant footwear.

Is MICROTECH a type of BREATEX fabric?

No. BREATEX is the three-dimensional fabric. MICROTECH is an additional upper material. Both are combined in the Petri, which also has a leather reinforcement at the toe.

Is the shoe available in small sizes?

Yes. The range starts at size 35 and goes up to 48. Try the shoes on with the intended work socks and leave sufficient room beneath the toe cap.

Is the leather reinforcement the toe cap?

No. The outer leather reinforcement reduces abrasion at the toe area. The actual toe protection is underneath and is made from aluminium, with a standardised 200 J impact test.

Can I use my orthopaedic insoles?

The removable Cofra Soft footbed may be replaced with an orthopaedic insole approved for this model. The tested shoe-and-insole combination under DGUV 112-191 is decisive. Consult a specialist before changing the footbed.

What does SRC mean for grip on the floor?

SRC includes slip-resistance tests on ceramic with cleaning solution and on steel with glycerine under the 2011 version of the standard. Clean, intact soles remain important; dirt and worn tread can reduce grip.
