Material for demanding environments

The W4 version provides a corrosion-resistant stainless-steel band and housing. However, stainless steel is not resistant to every medium. For continuous contact with salt water or chemicals, the specific material resistance must be suitable for the relevant temperature and concentration.

Sizing and installation

Measure the hose outer diameter at the clamping point. Position the clamp on the fitted hose and tighten it with a suitable tool. The 9 mm-wide band distributes clamping force across the surface.

How do I choose the correct size?

Measure the hose outer diameter at the clamping point. This measurement must fall within the clamping range.

Is a W4 hose clamp automatically suitable for salt water?

No. W4 is not a general salt-water approval and is not equivalent to AISI 316. For salty or chemical media, check the resistance of all materials in the connection at the intended concentration and temperature.

How is the clamp fitted?

Slide the clamp over the hose, push the hose onto the connector and tighten the worm screw with a suitable tool.
