Protection features and sole

The steel toe cap is designed for the standardised 200 J impact test. The steel insert helps prevent sharp objects penetrating the sole; very thin points or high loads may exceed the protection level. SRA indicates tested slip resistance on ceramic tiles with cleaning solution. FO concerns fuel resistance of the outsole material.

PVC construction

The shaft and sole are made from PVC, while the lining is polyester. The sole is directly injected and joined to the shaft without a glued or stitched connection. Weight is approximately 853 g per boot in size 40.

What protection features does S5 include?

S5 identifies fully moulded safety boots with toe protection, antistatic properties, energy absorption in the heel, penetration resistance and a profiled outsole. In the Ritter, the toe cap and penetration-resistant insert are made from steel. S5 alone does not make the boot universal chemical protection.

What is the steel insert for?

It increases resistance to sharp objects penetrating the sole. Protection applies under specified test conditions and is not a guarantee against every shard, nail or load.

What does the FO marking mean?

FO concerns the resistance of the outsole material to fuel in the standard test. It does not imply comprehensive chemical resistance of the entire boot.

What slip resistance does the boot provide?

SRA indicates a slip-resistance test on ceramic tiles with cleaning solution. Dirty soles, slippery conditions and the actual floor surface can still reduce grip.

Which sizes are available?

The boots are available in sizes 40 to 46.

How do I clean and dry the PVC boots?

Remove dirt with water and a mild cleaner suitable for PVC. Allow them to dry in a well-ventilated place at room temperature, away from direct heat. Check the shaft, sole and joins for cracks and separation before reuse.
