Consider four measurements together
- Body or torso length measured according to the size chart instructions
- Chest and waist circumference with the intended clothing underneath
- Inside leg length with your usual footwear
- Sleeve length with your arms stretched forwards
Movement check for one-piece garments
Fasten the coveralls fully and try squatting, sitting, bending and reaching overhead. If the garment pulls at both the shoulders and crotch, compare body length and cut as well as width. Going up a size changes several measurements at once.
Plan fastenings and pockets
Check how far the fastening opens and whether putting the coveralls on and taking them off is practical for everyday use. Pockets should remain accessible with their intended contents inside. Choose any additional protective features only on the basis of the stated suitability of the specific version.
