Applications

Suitable for wire ropes, chains, linkages, deflection levers, spindles, guides, slide rails, door pins, bearings, hinges and joints. Cable grease can also be used for underbody and cavity protection.

Properties

The penetrating formulation reaches accessible gaps. The adhesive film supports lubrication and corrosion protection. The temperature limit of +80 °C is retained for this product selection; the information on the supplied container is decisive.

Containers

The 500 ml spray can has a 360° valve. The 1 litre suction container is intended for use with a suitable underbody protection spray gun. The 5 litre canister contains bulk product for suitable application equipment. Follow the instructions and safety information for the relevant container.

Container-specific safety information

For the 500 ml spray: danger, extremely flammable aerosol (H222); pressurised container may burst if heated (H229). Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking (EUH066). The spray is also classified as an aspiration hazard (H304). According to the relevant safety data sheet, the 1 litre suction container and 5 litre canister are not classified as hazardous mixtures. Dispose of product residue and containers properly; do not transfer the spray classification to the liquid containers.

Is the 1 litre suction container a larger aerosol spray can?

No. The suction container is applied using a suitable spray gun. The 500 ml aerosol can has its own 360° spray valve.

Is cable grease suitable for preserving an underbody?

Yes, it is also intended for underbody and cavity protection. Prepare the surface according to the product instructions. A protective film does not repair existing corrosion damage.

Can I treat brake surfaces or belts with it?

A lubricant film is unwanted there and may impair function. Keep adjacent brake surfaces, belts and other friction-dependent components free from the product during application.

Do I need to replace a damaged wire rope despite lubrication?

Lubrication does not repair broken wires or other damage. Rope inspection and any required replacement continue to be governed by the requirements for the relevant system.

Do the spray hazard statements also apply to the canister?

The containers have different safety data sheets and classifications. Always use the information for the specific container when selecting, storing and applying the product.
