Description

The Cofra New Tigri is a safety shoe for dry working environments. Its perforated suede supports breathability, while the steel toe cap, stainless-steel penetration-resistant plate and DUO-PU sole protect the foot during everyday work. The removable EVANIT footbed and TEXELLE lining made from 100% polyamide complete the design.

Protection class and features

The S1 P SRC design complies with EN ISO 20345:2011. The steel toe cap protects the toes in the standardised 200 J impact test. A stainless-steel plate helps prevent sharp objects from penetrating through the sole. The two-layer PU sole combines a cushioning midsole with an abrasion-resistant outsole.

Material and comfort

Perforated suede and breathable TEXELLE lining support ventilation. The anatomically shaped EVANIT footbed consists of a blend of EVA and nitrile, and is perforated and antistatic. It can be removed for airing.

Fit and use

The low shoe is available in sizes 36 to 48 and width 11 Mondopoint. It is suitable for dry working environments such as warehouses, transport and production. The perforated design is unsuitable for workplaces involving prolonged contact with water.

Care

Remove loose dirt after use with a suede brush. Care products must be explicitly suitable for suede. Allow damp shoes to dry at room temperature and avoid direct heat.

Is the New Tigri suitable for wet workplaces?

The perforated suede promotes air exchange but also allows water through. This design is suitable for dry warehouse, transport and production work. For prolonged contact with water, choose footwear with suitable water-protection marking.

What protects the toes and sole?

A steel toe cap protects the toes and is tested with an impact energy of 200 J. A stainless-steel plate beneath the foot provides penetration protection. This does not replace checking whether S1 P SRC suits the hazards at the workplace.

What does SRC mean for this model?

SRC refers to the two slip-resistance tests in the 2011 version of the standard: on ceramic with cleaning solution and on steel with glycerine. Actual grip also depends on the floor, contamination and sole wear.

Can I use my own insoles?

The EVANIT footbed can be removed for airing. Use other insoles only if they are approved for the specific shoe combination. Clarify this with a specialist before an orthopaedic modification.

How do I choose the right size?

Sizes 36 to 48 are available in width 11 Mondopoint. Try them on with the intended work socks: the heel should be secure, while the toes should have sufficient room in front of and beside the toe cap. The width is not a shoe size.

How do I care for the perforated suede?

Brush dirt away carefully and keep the openings clear. Use suitable suede care and dry damp shoes slowly at room temperature. Direct heater heat can damage the leather and adhesives.
