Description

Sprinkling along the plant row

Lay the sprinkler hose above ground along the area to be watered. Position the openings so that the spray reaches the areas requiring irrigation. The range and water distribution depend, among other things, on pressure, layout and wind.

Connection and hose positioning

Connect the push-fit connection to the water supply using a suitable coupling. Avoid tight bends and, if necessary, hold the hose in position with suitable ground pegs. Before watering, briefly check that water emerges along the required length.

Check watering time at ground level

The 15 m version is suitable for elongated planted areas. Adjust watering duration and frequency to the soil, plants and weather. After an initial cycle, check how deeply the soil has been moistened and adjust the watering accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

Do the leaves stay dry during watering?

This cannot be guaranteed with a sprinkler hose. The spray direction and wind can carry water onto the leaves. If only the root area is to be watered, a specifically arranged drip irrigation system is often more suitable.

Can I bury the hose?

Lay the hose above ground so that the spray openings remain clear. Soil or a covering over the openings can obstruct the spray pattern.

Is the same amount of water distributed at the end of the hose as at the beginning?

The actual distribution depends on water pressure, layout and hose length. After connecting it, check the spray pattern along the entire length and correct any kinks or poorly positioned sections.

Can I connect several sections in a row?

An extension requires suitable connectors and an adequate water supply. Choose the permitted total length according to the instructions; the connection size alone does not imply unlimited extendability.
